I found this cute little one-eyed kitten on September 26th.  Sure... she's cute and grateful that she has a home now... but, like all felines, her gratefulness will soon expire.  Here's a 10 day countdown.

This kitten's gratefulness is set to expire in :

10/06/05 - I'm an Ingrate!

Aren't  I adorable?

I'm so lucky Cherry found me.  I love Cherry... and this toy.

The toy IS a little simple for me though...and Cherry is a bit annoying...

I'd much rather play with Count Chocula's tail

Don't worry Count Chocula, I won't swat your balls...Oh I forgot...(snicker snicker) YOU don't have any balls!!! Haa haa haa ha ha!  No balls...that's hilarious!

Stupid dog. He doesn't even know I'm making fun of him.

KITTEN UPDATES!

October 2005

The one-eyed kitten is doing well and I hate to say "I told you so" but it's official... she's an ingrate!  She has long forgotten about her unfortunate life before I found her and is now trying to trace her heritage back to the Royal family!  She even notified the authorities that my home was not in compliance with the American Disabilities Act and I had to make her a handicapped litterbox!

November 2005

I decided I couldn't keep calling the one-eyed kitten  "one-eyed kitten" so I named her Emily.   I also liked the name Astrid, but settled on Emily.

December 2005

Emily the one-eyed kitten is growing like a weed and she is best friends with Count Chocula. They sleep, play, eat, and shit together....and by the way, that is ALL they do!

February 2006

Emily kitty got spayed this month.  She's kind of pissed about it. You see, she was under the impression that she was going to the vet to get "payed" for examining her royal bloodline.  She IS 1/332 royalty you know! There she is above keeping that nasty stick out of my way yesterday when I was doing this month's pics.

March 2006

As you can see, nothing has changed. Emily and Count Chocula are STILL lounging around the couch all day.  However, Emily takes advantage of sweet Count Chocula. She kneeds her paws into him and pushes her face against him and he tolerates it!

04/02/06

Emily kitty got hit by a car last week and broke her hind leg.  It looked pretty simple to me and I thought she would come through that with flying colors. However, she developed an infection that eventually won. She died while still under vetrinary care on April 2nd. I've had a lot of pets and Emily was incredibly special to me.  I know, I always joked about her being a typical cat, but she was the sweetest cat I have ever known.  I never saw a dog and a cat bond like her and Count Chocula either. Although I am sure that many more strays will cross my path, I know that a cat like Emily can never be replaced.
