Bra of the Month: June 2007 • My current bra count is 51. This one just happens to be one of those mystery bras that I have had for a long time. As a Bra Aficionado, it essential to have bras in various colors to match a variety of outfits. This one happens to match an inexpensive waist cincher I picked up at K-mart! I'd love to tell you the brand and style of this burgundy colored four hook underwire, but the tag is worn out! May 2007
Why is this bra so friggin' great? Have you ever seen a prettier full coverage bra than this? It's feminine and sassy with its faux lace up bodice and scalloped lace. This bra makes me feel like a woman and at a mere $40, it makes me feel like buying a pair of shoes to match! April 2007
Why is this bra so friggin' great? It's green and purple chiffon plaid! Normally such trendy designs and fine fabrics are reserved for the sea of 34B sized bras. Therefore, this bra is an indulgence for buxom women. It may be an underwire and not the best supporting bra, but it sure is a refreshing new look for my tits! March 2007 Goddess style 689, size 36FF, color black
Why is this bra so friggin' great? It's strapless! It's darn near impossible to find a strapless brassiere in anything bigger than a "D" cup. Goddess makes this one in "FF", which is equivalent to a "G". The long line style and lace paneling makes this a special occasion bra. January 2007 Glamorise style 1006, size 36G, color light blue Why is this bra so friggin' great? Just look at how tight it's holding that brussel sprout! Whew! This is a great support bra for exercise. It has no underwire and is quite sturdy. Kudos to Glamorise for making it in a pretty color rather than just boring old white. December 2006 Frederick's of Hollywood brand, Satin & Daisy Lace Full Figure Bra, size 38F, colors: Tart Pink/Orange & Teal/Avocado Why is this bra so friggin ? great? Because I got them on clearance for only $10 a piece!!!! I know I don't neeeeeed any more bras.... but I know a deal when I see one! November 2006 In honor of the Breast Avenger article, Bras and Breast Cancer, there is no bra of the month this month. Please take a moment to click onto the Breast Avenger page in my navigtor to read this important article. October 2006 Goddess brand, style 110, size 36G, color~ black jacquard (click on any pic to enlarge) Why is this bra so friggin great? In keeping with the dominitrix theme this month, I thought I'd introduce this whopperof a bra. This is a strong bra, much like the woman who wears it. The very middle of the bra (the cleavage area) measures 6.5 inches; there are 4 hooks in the back; and the straps are made of a non-stretchable material for maximum hoist power. I wore this big-bad-mamma-of-a-bra in the DVD Ultimate Cherry with a leather skirt and green satin waist cincher. September 2006 CameoSheerComfort Bra, size 36G, color~ sunflower, made bywww.cameo-intimates.com Why is this bra so friggin ? great? Here's another fabulous bra by Cameo-Intimates. This is a Canadian company who offers handmade to order lingerie. I really have to applaud them for their unique styles, generous 180 day exchange policy, and reasonable prices. This bra only costs $38.95 US - this is a handmade bra!!!! The tag inside the bra even says, "Made with love in Canada". For the record,I'm not getting any money by mentioning this company, in fact, they've probably never even seen this site. It's just that they put out a quality product and bra aficionados should know about this company. They also make bullet bras, lace-up panties, and some polka-dot retro bras with garters to match! (next on my list to order) However, not all bras can be made in the larger sizes. In the pics above, I am wearing a Cameo Retro Shaping Garter Belt in lemon yellow under the ruffle skirt. you can see a wee glimpse of it in the 3rd pic. June 2006 Frederick' s of Hollywood, deep plunge style, size 38F Why is this bra so friggin ? great? Two words: Extreme Cleavage. Two more words: Sexy Styles. It's time to give kudos to Fredericks for making us women look like tarts for all these years! Fredericks has the market when it comes to bras in a rainbow of colors, fabrics, laces, and convertable styles! The deep plunge style can make even my heavy hangers look like plastic! I have several of these bras in plenty of colors. Fredericks' cup sizes only go up to an F, so I have to increase the band size, hence a 38F is more or less a 36G. (See my comprehensive bra sizing chart on this page for more info.) What's more is that they always make sexy matching panties to go along with these seductive slings, making the Frederick's of Hollywood Deep Plunge Bra the bra of choice for a naughty sexual escapade. May 2006 Fancee Free brand, style 94301, size 36G, purchased at LadyGrace.com Why is this bra so friggin ? great? If you saw me on the street and had x-ray vision...THIS is the bra you'd catch me wearing... not some cute-sie little thing... for THIS contraption is my EVERYDAY BRA! There's no pesky underwire and no itchy lace to irritate the Matron wearing it. It's simply an over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder.... a teat-holding contraption! Just look at the size of those straps! It's a sensible bra and here I am modeling it for you with sensible underwear! In fact, this bra is so utilitarian that it's perfect for wearing while mowing the lawn, pruning hedges, or planting flowers! April 2006 Cameo Retro Sheer Bra, size 36G, made by www.cameo-intimates.com Why is this bra so friggin ? great? Cameo-intimates has made a copy of an original late 1950's design with this bra! It has no underwires, it is sheer, and it goes FANTASTIC with pantyhose!!!! Although this IS a bra page, I'm not going to leave out you pantyhose, ass, and foot fetishers. Cheers! March 2006 Miss Mary of Sweden by Leading Lady, style 517, made in the USA, size 36G Why is this bra so friggin ? great? Do you need to ask? Just look at that sweater profile! The horizontal seem along the nipple line creates a pointy, uplifted - retro Jane look. Plus this is a very comfortable bra with NO underwire and a comfy wide band. Cherry's Current Bra Count: 42 (March 2006) 43 (April 2006) added a new excersise bra 45 (December 2006) added two Frederick's bras Basic Bra History 1893 - Marie Tucek patented a breast supporter which looked very similar to the modern bra. It had separate pockets for the breasts, straps that went over the shoulder, and hook-and-eye closures. 1914 - Mary Phelps Jacob patented a brassiere . Although she is often credited with inventing the bra, her patented device looked nothing like the modern bra. In fact, her design had no cups and was intended to flatten the breasts. 1917 - During World War I, the U.S. War Industries Board asked women to stop buying corsets in order to conserve steel. They were able to divert 28,000 tons, enough to build an entire battleship. 1922 - Ida Rosenthal revolutionized the bra and the way women looked in their dresses by grouping breasts into cup sizes and creating Maiden Form bras. She was said to be a buxom advocate of women ?s rights who deplored the Flapper fashion in which women would bind their breasts for a flat-chested boyish look. Instead, Ida's designs enhanced and supported the breasts. In 1928, Ida's Maiden Form sold 500,000 bras. The company survived the Great Depression and by the end of the 1930s Maiden Form products were sold in department stores across the nation and around the world Bra Sizing and Fitting Workshop A true bra aficionado must learn to master bra fitting. The method presented herein is for the bra aficionado beginner. An advanced bra aficionado pulls from his vast experiences of measuring hundreds of women and is able to fit a woman into her proper bra size without the use of measuring tapes, but by sight and touch. For this section, you will need:
2) a cloth tape measure. Bra Basics The number (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 44, etc.) only refers to the size around the top of the ribcage or where the very bottom of the bra will go around. This number, plus four or five inches, which we will get into later, is called the band size. This is not the same number as her bust size measurement, in which she is measured all the way around the fullest part of her bust, usually at the nipple level. A woman who measures 44 in bra-band size is a lot larger woman than one whose chest/bust measurement is 44, as in 44-34-42. The cup size (A, B, C, D, DD, etc.) refers to the actual size of the breast or more accurately, the size of the cup which will hold the breast. So, naturally, one would assume that the bigger the cup, the bigger the breast. However, that can be very misleading. As the band size increases, the letters of the cup sizes decrease in the actual fit. For example, many manufacturers use the same sized cup in a 34D as they do in a 36C. Most women who are 34D could wear a 36C if they had to. The 36C would just be a little looser around the ribcage. Here ?s an example in chart form:
All five models above have similarly sized breasts. Model 5 would probably be slim and her big breasts would be a sharp contrast against her thin body, thus making her tits appear even larger than the first model ?s. Bra Fitting- 3 Easy Steps First, band sizing: Place the tape measure around her ribcage directly under her bust. If she has big hangers, then you will have to lift them up. Round your measurement to the closest whole inch. Example: if the measurement is 30 , round to 30 . If the measurement is 30 ? ', round to 31". If the rounded measurement you come up with is an even number, add 4 inches. If the rounded measurement you come up with is an odd number, add 5 inches.
Hanger Adjustment - If your test subject has some real hangers, then you
